Westbrook breaks Robertson's record for most triple-doubles in NBA history
Russell Westbrook lodges 182nd triple-double of his career to become all-time triple-double leader

ISTANBUL (AA) - Washington Wizards' Russell Westbrook broke Oscar Robertson's NBA record for most career triple-doubles on Monday.
In the 125-124 loss to Atlanta Hawks, Westbrook was the highest scorer of his team with 28 points, 21 assists, and 13 rebounds, which gave him his 182nd career triple-double to pass Robertson's NBA record of 181.
"On Monday night in Atlanta, Russell Westbrook recorded the 182nd triple-double of his 13-year NBA career, passing Oscar Robertson for the most in NBA history. He secured the triple-double on a defensive rebound with 8:30 left in the fourth quarter and finished the night with 28 points, 13 rebounds, and 21 assists," NBA said in a statement.
The 32-year-old guard ahead of Robertson (181), Magic Johnson (138), Jason Kidd (107), and LeBron James (99).
Westbrook, the 2016-17 MVP and a nine-time All-Star, averaged 22 points, 11.6 rebounds, and 11.6 assists in 62 games during this season.
NBA Hall of Famer Oscar Robertson played for Cincinnati Royals and Milwaukee Bucks from 1960 to 1974 while he helped the Bucks win the 1971 NBA title.
